Yes. Dulles Kitchen & Bath is fully licensed, insured, and bonded. This means we are authorized to operate in the region and carry the proper insurance to protect your home. You can have peace of mind knowing your remodel is being handled by qualified professionals who adhere to all legal and safety standards.
We do not use subcontractors – all work is done by our own in-house team of skilled, licensed professionals. From designers to builders, everyone working on your project is part of our company. This ensures consistent quality, accountability, and clear communication, since the same trusted team (including a dedicated project manager) will handle your remodel from start to finish.
Absolutely. We offer a free in-home design consultation and estimate for all remodeling projects. There’s no obligation – a friendly expert will discuss your ideas, take measurements, and provide a detailed quote at no cost. This helps you understand the scope and budget of your project before making any decisions.
We stand behind our work with a solid warranty. Dulles Kitchen & Bath provides a one-year warranty on our workmanship, ensuring that any issues due to our work will be taken care of promptly. Additionally, all manufacturer warranties for products (such as appliances, fixtures, or materials we install) are passed on to you. Our goal is your long-term satisfaction, so you can trust that we’ll support you even after the project is complete.
Our process is designed to be smooth and hassle-free. First, we schedule an at-home measurement and consultation to understand your needs and vision . Next, we invite you to our showroom to collaborate on the design, select materials, and review a detailed estimate for the project. Once you approve the plan, we handle all the planning and any necessary permits, then our in-house team begins the construction. A dedicated project manager oversees every step of the build to ensure quality, and when everything is finished we do a final walk-through with you to make sure you’re 100% happy .
Yes – we’re a full-service remodeling company and can renovate virtually any part of your home. In addition to kitchen and bathroom remodels, our team can finish basements, install new flooring, upgrade kitchen countertops, remodel closets, and more. We offer a one-stop solution for all your home improvement needs, so you can count on us for projects big and small throughout your house.
We do our best to minimize disruption during a remodel. That said, some noise and dust are inevitable, but we take precautions to protect your home – for example, we seal off work areas, cover floors, and clean up at the end of each day. You can certainly continue living at home during the project (many of our clients do), though if you work from home you’ll want to plan for some construction noise. Rest assured, we maintain a safe and orderly job site, and upon completion we’ll do a thorough cleaning so your home is neat and ready to enjoy.
We have two showroom locations in Northern Virginia — one in Vienna, VA and the other in Sterling, VA. Both locations are fully equipped with kitchen and bathroom displays, a wide range of material samples, and on-site design experts ready to help you plan your remodel. You’re welcome to visit either showroom by appointment to explore design ideas and speak with our team in person.
Dulles Kitchen & Bath serves homeowners throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metro area. Our design showrooms are located in Vienna and Sterling, VA , and we cater to clients in all the surrounding communities (Fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington, and more). If you’re not sure we cover your area, just ask – chances are we do, as long as you’re in the broader NoVA/D.C. region.
The timeline for a bathroom remodel depends on the size and complexity of the project. Generally, a small bathroom (like a guest bath or powder room) can be remodeled in around two
weeks (10–14 working days) of construction time. Larger bathrooms or master suites that involve more extensive work typically take around 3–4 weeks to complete. We will provide you with a
project schedule before we begin and do everything we can to stay on track, so you know when you can start enjoying your new bathroom.
If you have more than one bathroom in your home, you can definitely stay in your house during the remodel – we’ll ensure you always have at least one working bathroom available. Our crew is respectful about keeping the rest of your home livable while work is underway. If the bathroom under renovation is your only bathroom, it will be out of service during the construction phase, so you’ll need to make some arrangements (many homeowners stay with a friend or family for a few days, or we can discuss renting a portable bathroom if needed). We’ll help you plan for this and aim to complete the work as efficiently as possible so you’re not inconvenienced for long.
Yes, we can reconfigure your bathroom layout to better suit your needs. Whether you want to move the toilet, relocate the shower, or change a bathtub’s position, our team has the plumbing and construction expertise to handle it. We’ll evaluate the existing structure and plumbing to determine the best way to achieve the new layout. And if these changes require building permits or inspections, we will obtain them and ensure all work is done to code , so you don’t have to worry about the technical details
Absolutely. We provide end-to-end design assistance for bathroom remodels. Our experienced bathroom designers will collaborate with you to choose the perfect tiles, vanity, countertops, fixtures (like faucets and showerheads), lighting, and color scheme to achieve the look and functionality you want . You can visit our showroom to explore a wide variety of tile designs, finishes, and bathroom products in person. We make the selection process easy and even fun – ensuring that all the elements come together in a cohesive design that you’ll love.
Definitely. We specialize in making the most of small bathrooms. In a compact bathroom, smart design choices can dramatically improve how the space feels. We might suggest space-saving features like a corner sink or a sliding shower door, brighter lighting and mirrors to create an open feeling, or using glass panels for the shower to eliminate visual barriers. Clever storage solutions (such as recessed medicine cabinets or built-in shelving) can add functionality without crowding the
room. With careful planning, even a small bathroom can be transformed into a beautiful, efficient space that feels larger than it really is.
Waterproofing is a critical part of any bathroom project, and we take it very seriously. Our installers use professional-grade waterproofing materials behind the scenes – for example, we’ll put down a waterproof membrane or backer board behind shower tiles and around tubs to prevent leaks. We also make sure all seams and corners are properly sealed, and we use high-quality grout and caulk that resist mold and moisture. Every plumbing connection is done by a licensed plumber and thoroughly tested for leaks. By the time we’re done, your bathroom will not only look amazing, but it will also have a solid water-tight foundation, so you won’t have to worry about water damage down the road.
Permits are usually required for bathroom remodels if we are moving plumbing lines, doing electrical work, or making structural changes. Minor cosmetic updates might not need one, but anything substantial usually does – and yes, we will handle all the permit needs for you. Our team will prepare the necessary plans/documentation and work with the local building authorities to get approvals. We’ll also coordinate any required inspections during the project. You can relax knowing that all the work will be done legally and safely, without you having to navigate any paperwork.
The cost can vary widely depending on the size of your bathroom and the finishes you choose. A small hall bathroom update will generally cost less than a complete master bathroom overhaul with high-end materials. During our planning stage, we’ll discuss your budget and provide a detailed quote so you know the exact price before we begin. We’re transparent with our pricing and can adjust the project scope to fit your budget – for instance, we can recommend cost-effective tile or
fixture options if needed, or prioritize the updates that give you the most value. Our priority is to deliver the bathroom you want at a price that’s comfortable for you . And remember, we do offer financing solutions if you want to spread out the investment.
Yes, we do a lot of tub-to-shower conversions and can incorporate many accessibility features into your bathroom design. Converting an old bathtub into a modern, walk-in shower is a popular update – it can make the bathroom feel more open and is also great for easy access. We can build a curbless (zero-threshold) shower for wheelchair accessibility or simply for a sleek look, and add
items like grab bars, built-in shower benches, handheld showerheads, and non-slip flooring to make the space safer and more comfortable. Whether you’re looking to age in place or just prefer the convenience of a walk-in shower, we will ensure the design meets your needs without sacrificing style. All these modifications will be done with the same quality and care as the rest of our projects, giving you a bathroom that is both beautiful and user-friendly.
It all starts with a free consultation. We’ll come to your home to look at your current kitchen, take measurements, and discuss your goals and ideas. After that, we’ll meet with you in our showroom to collaborate on the kitchen design – you’ll get to choose cabinets, countertops, and other materials, and we’ll provide a detailed plan and quote . This upfront design process ensures you have a clear vision and budget before we move forward.
The timeline for a kitchen remodel can vary based on scope, but once all materials are ready, the construction phase typically lasts only a few weeks . For example, a straightforward kitchen remodel (keeping the same layout) might take around 3–4 weeks of active work on site . Larger or more complex renovations – say, if we’re removing walls or relocating plumbing – could extend to around 5–6 weeks. We will develop a detailed schedule for your project and keep you informed at every stage, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
During construction, your main kitchen appliances and cooking area will be out of service, but you can still live at home. Many homeowners set up a temporary mini-kitchen in another room with a microwave, toaster, and fridge for basic needs. It will be a bit inconvenient not having a full kitchen for a few weeks, but we work efficiently to shorten that downtime as much as possible. We’ll also help you prepare – for instance, advising on setting up a temporary prep space – so you can manage
until your brand-new kitchen is ready.
Absolutely – guiding you through the design and selection process is a big part of what we do. We have experienced kitchen designers on staff who will work with you to pick out the perfect cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and finishes to match your style and budget . You’ll be able to see and feel a wide range of material options in our showroom, and we can even provide design renderings so you can visualize the new kitchen before we build it. Our goal is to make sure the finished kitchen is exactly what you envisioned (or better!).
Yes, we have flexible financing options available. We understand that a remodeling project is a big investment, so we’ve partnered with financing programs (including possible zero-interest plans) to help you spread out the cost. Our team can walk you through financing choices so you can choose a payment plan that fits your budget comfortably.
We understand budget is a major concern, and we’re committed to working within your comfort zone. After the design phase, we provide a detailed, itemized quote so you’ll know the exact cost of your kitchen remodel up front. If you have a target budget, let us know – our team can often suggest design adjustments or alternative materials to help you stay on budget while still achieving a beautiful result . We also offer financing options to make your kitchen project more affordable, so there are plenty of ways to get the kitchen you want at a price that works for you.
Depending on what the project involves, permits may be required – typically for anything that changes the structure of your home or the electrical/plumbing systems. Don’t worry, we will handle all necessary permits on your behalf . As a licensed contractor, we’ll prepare the documentation, submit applications to the county/city, and schedule any required inspections. We make sure your kitchen remodel meets all building codes and regulations, so you won’t have to deal with the paperwork or red tape.
Many homeowners will tell you a kitchen remodel is absolutely worth it. Not only will you enjoy a beautiful new space tailored to your needs, but kitchen updates also tend to increase your home’s value significantly. In fact, kitchen remodels often offer one of the highest returns on investment when it comes time to sell your home . Beyond resale value, there’s also the “worth” of loving the space you use every day – cooking, entertaining, and spending time with family in a kitchen that truly works for you is a fantastic improvement in quality of life.
Yes, we’re happy to tackle projects of all sizes – there is no rule that you must do a full gut renovation. If you just want to update your kitchen without a complete overhaul, we can help with that too. Common smaller projects we handle include replacing countertops, installing a new backsplash, upgrading appliances, refacing or painting cabinets, or updating lighting. There’s no minimum project size with us , so even if it’s just one aspect of your kitchen you want to improve, we’re glad to help make it happen with the same level of care and quality as a larger remodel.
